District Awarded American Airlines Flight Education Grant

American Airlines has announced that the Ada City School District is one of seventeen aviation-focused schools and organizations across the United States that will receive grant funds to implement programming that will help to grow and diversify the nation's pool of pilots.  Entities selected to receive the awards proposed projects such as enhancing aviation-related curriculum by building flight simulators and aviation labs, adding computers for new pilot courses, and providing students with flight books, manuals, calculators, maps, and plotters.

"The $24,500 American Airlines Grant will allow the Ada City School District to equip our secondary aviation laboratories as well as to provide important aviation activities for elementary students," said District Superintendent, Mike Anderson. "We are extremely pleased to have been selected for the American Airlines Flight Education Grant.  It will allow us to implement aviation programming at every grade level and will help to ensure that the District does it part to provide students with the aviation STEM skills necessary to meet the growing needs of the aviation industry."
